SARB Consulting is evaluating potential process water changes in as part of the expansion project at the LKAB Kiruna iron mine in Northern Sweden.

MINE WASTER CHARACTERIZATION, TITANIA MINE, NORWAY

April 2013 - June 2014

SARB Consulting has performed mine waste characterization for Titania Mine in Southern Norway as part of the fullfillment of the EU Mine waste Directive and the Norwegian Waste regulation. The project included designing waste characterization plans, waste sampling of tailings and waster rocks, evaluating chemical and mineralogical data, and writing a report outlining the characterization data, a discussion on waste classification, and recommendation for closure option. The report was submitted to the Norwegian Environmental Directorate.
